With a flick of his wrist, my friend Joel successfully ended my southern-Brooklyn drought. (Joel joined me on my trip to Tompkins Park North.)
Brighton Beach is on Coney Island, east of the main amusements. Much of the population hails from eastern Europe; apparently there is a Jersey Shore wannabe called Russian Dolls on Lifetime that follows the lives of a few residents. My Georgian friend has given me some culinary recommendations.
Although Brighton Beach is likely less popular than its western neighbor, this will be one place I feel I must visit on a weekday.
