Post-Sandy photos: Eastern Parkway, Broadway Junction, Stuyvesant Heights

Here’s the last post of this set. There were a few memorable moments here, most of them revolving around marveling with others at the crushed cars.

I also got some frozen yogurt at Brooklyn Swirl, which was very good. I recommend not getting gummy bears as a topping; they turn hard rather quickly.

I made a quick detour into Bushwick. I went to Broadway Junction in early August. I have yet to pull Stuy Heights.

I really appreciated all of the posts following Hurricane Sandy. It was great to get some views that weren’t just the sensational stories drummed up constantly by the news while also realizing that the storm had a huge effect on the city. Thanks Keith!

Thanks, Pipes. The devastated areas rightly got a lot of media coverage, but many of the usually overlooked neighborhoods suffered serious damage as well. I wanted to spread a small part of their stories.

      Keith
