Week thirty: Farragut

I was kinda sorta hoping this one would never come out of the hat, because it’s a bit confusing. The Department of City Planning lists two Farraguts in Brooklyn.

At left, Brooklyn Community Board (CB) 2; right, CB 17.

My friends’ Wheaten Terrier, Bella, made the selection. (Not really, but her humans, Sal and Gabe, thought she’d be more photogenic.)

The first Farragut is just south of Vinegar Hill, and comprises the Farragut Houses. The other is in southern Flatbush. Both are named for David Farragut, of “damn the torpedoes” fame.
