Happy Primary Day

September 10 is finally here and the lever machines are back from hibernation (and, in some cases, still asleep).

No races beyond the top four on my ballot (Brad Lander’s re-election is uncontested), although I was surprised that I was the only person there. Compare this with 2012′s general, when voting lines snaked around each other in the tiny gym at PS/MS 282. Perhaps this will be a sleepy primary.

If you’re registered as either a Democrat or a Republican, get to your polling place before 9:00 p.m. You can plug in your address at the Poll Site Locator to find out where you should go.

If you’re a Democrat, I urge you to vote for Bill de Blasio, Tish James, Scott Stringer, and Ken Thompson. You can read my analyses of each race here and here.
